Raising the dead

This is an interesting parallel between TB and AHS. In S4 of TB we see a sigil of the demon Frucissiere drawn around Marnie's parrot (Minerva) in a ritual of bringing the dead bird back to life. In Grimorium Verum this demon is described as an inferior demon under Duke Syrach, invoked to bring the dead to life. Here the original post talking about this demon.

In AHS, Marie levitates over a eve of Maman Brigitte, a Death Loa of Vodou . Veve is a is a religious symbol commonly used in Haitian Vodou. In ritual and other formalities, veve is usually drawn on the floor by strewing a powder-like substance, commonly cornmeal, wheat flour, bark, red brick powder, or gunpowder, though the material depends entirely upon the ritual. In Haitian Vodou, a mixture of cornmeal and wood ash is used. The veve is like a doorway for mortals to communicate with the spirits.  Maman Brigitte is the female leader of the Ghede family of Loas and also a Loa of Death. She is believed to be the wife of Baron Samedi. Maman Brigitte is the Loa who walks with the dead into the afterlife and is venerated as the guardian of the dead. It is said that she protects graves in the cemetery that are marked with an X. It is said that her favourite drink is rum with hot red peppers. She is known to spout obscenities, dance wildly and has enough sexual prowess to keep the Baron coming back time after time.

The Loa (also Lwa or L'wha) are the spirits of Haitian Vodou. They are also referred to as Mystères and the Invisibles, in which are intermediaries between Bondye (Bon Dieu, or good god)-the Creator, who is distant from the world and humanity. Unlike saints or angels however, they are not simply prayed to, they are served. They are each distinct beings with their own personal likes and dislikes, distinct sacred rhythms, songs, dances, ritual symbols, and special modes of service. Contrary to popular belief, the loa are not deities in and of themselves; they are intermediaries for a distant Bondye. There are many families or "nanchons" (nations) of Loa: Rada (also Radha), Petro (also Pethro, Petwo), Nago, Kongo, and Ghede (also Guede, or Gede) to name but a few.

As a way to keep their European masters from interfering and to appease the authorities who prevented them from practising their own religions, the African slaves in Haiti syncretised the Loa with the Roman Catholic saints - so Vodoun altars will frequently have images of Catholic figures displayed. One such Loa from Petro family is Ezili Dantor, commonly represented by the image of Black Madonna of Częstochowa whose origins are believed to be in copies of the icon of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa, brought to Haiti by Polish soldiers fighting on both sides of the Haitian Revolution from 1802 onwards. This is the same Black Madonna that we see in Violet's bedroom in TB S6 finale.

Marnie summoning demons:

As was already posted long time ago by Exit, Pursued by A Sloth, Marnie was summoning Frucissiere (we see his sigil around Minerva) But according to Blue ray’s she was also summoning another demon: Berith.

In S4E1 Marnie: “ Restore within her the spirit of life. Evocare lemures de mortuis, and return her to the plane of the living. Hic en spiritus, sed non incorpore, evocare lemures de mortuis, decretum expugnare de angelus barbarus en inferno erem irbanes." Now according to BR’s she is actually saying “here in spirit but not in body, I call up the ghosts of the dead – by force of decree, from the angel Balberith from Hell inescapable.”

Berith (Balberith, Baalberith, Beal, Belfry, Bofi , Bolfri, Elberith) FALLEN ANGEL. Berith appears as a man wearing a soldier’s uniform and a golden crown and riding a red horse. As an angel, Berith was prince of the order of cherubim. As a DEMON, he serves as a master of ceremonies, duke, and grand pontiff in HELL, residing over 26 LEGIONs of demons. He notarizes PACTs with the DEVIL. Berith was important to some alchemists, who believed he had the power to transmute all base metals into gold. He was tricky to conjure, however, and had to be summoned with magic rings bearing his SEAL. He was known for making great promises, but also for being a great liar. Berith will appear and do as commanded—but he will claim his reward, the conjuror’s soul, in 20 years’ time. He is also said to foretell the future.

Baalberith is Hell’s Minister of Treaties.  His name appears at the bottom of a document produced in the seventeenth-century trial of Urbain Grandier. The document, of dubious origin, is supposedly a pact signed by Grandier with Satan and a number of other high-profile devils in witness. Grandier was accused of witchcraft and diabolism in Loudun, France, and this little document was one of the things that sent him to the stake. Baalberith appears as "scriptor," and as far as this document is concerned, he seems to function in the role of scribe or secretary for Satan's pacts. Interestingly, Baalberith's name may clearly define this particular job description. Baal meant “lord" in several ancient Semitic languages, and was typically used as a title of an order of Canaanite gods, all duly objected to by the monotheistic Israelites and generally decried as demons. Berith is Hebrew for "covenant." It refers to the sacred covenants established between the Lord God and his chosen people, and it is used as one of the names of God. Here, perverted into the name of a demon, it seems to suggest that Baalberith is the “Lord of Covenants," which, in demonic lingo, would make him the Lord of Pacts. Notably, Berith appears as a demon in the Goetia and elsewhere in the grimoiric literature.

Famous pacts with demons/devil are signed in blood and often in exchange for something, the usual locations are crossroads and bridges. Could Marnie summoning Berith have something to do with Warlow being awakened/appearing to the scene ?
