Regarding that last reblog, it really is like that and it's funny to see it pop up when studying Franco-American and Anglo-American relations in tandem. It gets especially funny when you read enough books and articles by French and British Americanists and you pick up on passive aggressive dialogues that really is just "We know more about the US" "Um, actually, we know and care more about the US than you, sweaty :^)"
