Okay, that was an stupid thing to say. The black-haired stranger had every right to stare. In Kew’s defense, it was the middle of the night, and he had just bashed his head on the rocks around the ‘Koi Pond’, as it’s apparently called. Everything’s a little hazy, even after getting to his feet. Thanks for the clean drop-off, stupid-ass portal.
“I, uh...” Kew idly shoos away a large Koi that’s headbutting him in the leg, nearly losing his balance in the process. “... Yeah... That’d be nice, uh... Who... Where am I...?”

Oh right. Sui-feng and him didn’t exactly get along or was it him and Yoruichi? Since this would be an SWA shindig of course Sui-feng would invite her idol along the way she did the last time. Anyhow, she was certain things would work themselves out when the time came. She was also glad he didn’t seem to have seen through her deliberate air of ignorance at that date but then it looked like he wasn’t giving up now, was he? Surely she could continue playing dumb with this second time. It didn’t have to be a date, but drinks among new friends. Yes, that’s how she was going to take it. She offered the reserved captain a polite smile and a nod.
‘I had no idea you knew of interesting clubs in the world of the living, Kuchiki-taichou. That sounds nice, drinks and getting to know one another since like you said we don’t really know one another all that well. But are you sure it’d be okay?’ was he even a drinker? she’d never seen him in any of their social settings before and almost always kept to himself. Why now? Maybe he was lonely. She knew that feeling well and loathed it more than anything.
