OOh ok so I personally am a huge sucker for slow burn friends-to-lovers stuff in general, as well as the kind of ‘taking on the world together’ that is applicable to other relationships in the show.

More specifically though, I really enjoy how they are exactly what the other needs most without even really trying to be: Will is a quiet person who is hesitant to ask for the things he wants, and Mike is attentive and tries to help without needing to be asked. Meanwhile, behind the snark Mike is a secretly insecure person who struggles with his own identity, and Will loves him with no desire for Mike to be anything other than exactly who he is. You know??

As much as I want Argyle to survive and not be in danger, I also kinda want him to open a Surfer Boy Pizza in Hawkins in one of the many empty buildings because they're practically giving them away. Like the gang holds strategy meetings there and Argyle is just in the background of every shot slingin' pies.
