[ EVENT #2] : b e l l u m (End)
The large scale offensive had reached it’s conclusion. Despite their enemy’s best efforts, it seemed as though their increase in power could only prolong their inevitable defeat. After all-
This place was meant to fall.
The battlefield was littered with the bodies of the fallen. A sea of knights and villagers, all brought to rest by the overwhelming power of the Servants who fought to preserve their existence. Soon enough, their forms began to vanish into nothingness, much like the world around them seemed to be. The castle still stood tall, but was now virtually defenseless to the Servants that stormed through it’s well fortified doors with ease. Anyone who proceeded through those halls could feel it. The overwhelming presence that awaited them further down. Leading towards the throne room.
Some expected yet another adversary to be slayed. And wondered if they would even be capable of achieving such a feat. After all, even for a Servant, being involved in such a prolonged battle must have nearly depleted their reserves. Their stamina. But what choice did they have? If they did not stop the source, they would never be able to leave. And those who died in this fight would remain dead forever.
The doors to the throne room opened as they proceeded. Some readying their weapons immediately as the pressure enveloped them all. However, despite the feeling of dread and danger lingering in the air, all that awaited them was something that could not possibly be deemed a threat.
A lone figure sat upon a throne. Their form completely covered in armor, which made it impossible to discern just who they were. However, the mere fact that they sat there was enough for anyone to conclude that he was someone of importance. Most likely a king. Why, then, did they not appear to be a threat? The fact that their armor had been punctured. Their blood dripping from their wounds. This person.. They were clearly dying. Or rather, they should have already died. Something kept them from doing so. Almost as though it were some strong conviction. A conviction that defied the reality of their situation entirely.
But they were not real. Nothing here was real. This was the source of the distortion. Their conviction giving birth to this twisted world where those who should have died merely rise once again, only to repeat and endless cycle of death and revival. It was inhumane. It went against everything that was just. Yet, why was it, then? Why was it that it was almost pitiful? Even as the armored figure sat there, glaring at their adversaries through their helm, why did the very sight of them seem so somber?
We can confirm that this is the cause. The origin of the distortion. So these distortions can take the shape of humans as well.. In any case, there is no need to hesitate. Slay them and this world should be freed from their influence. After which, the Grail will take care of the rest.
It was a simple choice. It was the only choice. What reason was there to hesitate on this task? That was what they had come here for, after all. As such, the only course of action now is to--

This single the end of the Bellum event! You are free to finish any ongoing threads you may have, but do refrain from making new ones. As you may have noticed, we’re leaving our members with the choice of how this event truly ends. After we’ve received enough votes, we will write up an epilogue post and put numerous changes to the group in action. You can continue making non event related threads, but have the outcome of this event remain ambiguous in them (Since we obviously don’t know what it is yet)
Thank you to everyone who took part in the event!
