You are slick, you are witty, you're a cool cat and I am just a lowly nerd lucky to be in your presence. I could go on for days about all the reasons I like you (I even have a list, you know) but that's not what is most important about how I feel about you. Everyone in this damn school knows what a catch you are and how lucky I am to call you mine. But what they don't know, and what you don't know, is that you are the first person I can actually imagine a future with. And that terrifies the hell out of me. When I am with you, I finally really am the man I always wanted to be. And I know you don't know how big of a deal that is for me, but trust me, it is. Growing up like I did, I never thought I'd find anything that would give me hope that things could be different for me. No matter how hard I've tried to overcome everything I've been through, there have always been thoughts lingering in the back of my mind. Until now, I really have made great strides in being a new man, and I also know I still have a long way to go. But being with you has made me think that maybe I really can have the kind of life I thought was reserved for anyone but me. When I have you next to me, I don't wake up from nightmares of my past. Of course, it isn't all you, but you are still a big part of it. Everyone I've ever been with has, in some way, made me feel less than. You make me feel like everything I've always wanted to be. From pretty much the moment I met you, you felt like someone I had been waiting my whole life for. I don't believe in love at first sight or any of that bullshit, but I'd be lying if I said there wasn't something about you that made me wonder about it. Maybe this is too soon, in fact it has to be, but I have always been reckless and impulsive - but you really are everything I ever wanted, and nothing I deserve, the perfect woman for me. You are even better than any dream woman I could conjure up because it's your intricacies and nuances and quirks that I find myself so in love with. You are the most genuine woman I have ever met, and you do not compromise who you are for anything. And that, that is what inspires me above all else.
