But thus far most of the people that knew about the whole fate situation he'd found himself embroiled with weren't as inclined to protection or judgement. Hell, most of them knew Calvin cared more than he should and would absolutely pull a stupid stunt if it would help people.

Jay, however, knew exactly what was on the line with the son of time and that meant he probably. Might have more to say about it than Axel and Rio.

"I may have. Inadvertently pissed off one of the fates? The one that uh. Decides when peoples fate end- It's fine, anyway, it's all sorted." A beat of consideration, before a quiet. "It maybe cost me two years." That were still pending collection.

Had he escaped to them because he figured it would be one of the last places somebody may go looking for him? Partially. Okay, it was a distinct majority of the reason. However part of it was also to at least take the advice Romeo had offered of the nymphs offering something to help ease aches in the baths. It was how he came to be there, nearly his entire body submerged, and letting his head rest back.

Head filled with the horror and gore. Of blood, of failure, of all the things he was told not to linger on, time and again. Warned that these things would happen, but it was so different when it was right there. In front of him. His blade attacking... Everybody kept saying monster. Creature. Was that to turn their eyes away from how she'd been just a girl?

He was in the middle of spiralling when the familiar creak of the door's opening, and he... Felt betrayed by his own feet once again guiding him to the communal area. Maybe if he just. Sank down a little more he'd get away with not being here.

In his defence, part of him getting settled, was getting Milo settled. Which meant getting him used to the way the camp worked, but also getting him comfortable. It's why he'd pushed a little further away from the main footfalls of camp to just... Throw a ball, and then inevitably fight the little dachshund to get it back because apparently bringing the ball back wasn't part of the game.

He was in the middle of throwing the ball when he caught sight of Jay walking in direct line of sight. Literally. Middle of the throw, no time to cut the motion short.

"DUCK!" There's probably a little too much panic in his voice for a tennis ball, but it was more... The fact this was absolutely the worst introduction so far. Combined with the furry missile charging after the tennis ball heading Jesse's way.

Could the ground maybe just... Swallow him up?

“No.” The word kept falling from his lips like broken echoes. He could hear people talking to him, shouting at this point but all he could focus on was the lifeless form of Jay Garrick. His mentor and father figure was dead because of him.

Barry eyes broke from the bloody and beaten figure only to look down at his own hands which were sticky with blood seeping through the gloves of his suit. Rainbow Raider had gotten him while he was teaming up with Jay and Barry never realized how much resentment and anger he held towards the other speedster for stopping him from saving Iris. Months had passed since she died and he was just only getting back to being the Flash which is why Jay was with him in the first place. He knew that it could all go much worse if he tried to save Iris, he knew that Jay had done the right thing so why had he done this?

Falling to his knees, Barry grabbed Jay’s shoulder’s and begged him to wake up. “Jay you can’t-- No, please, Jay.” Barry continued to beg until Cisco finally broke him from his grief filled trance, making it clear that the older speedster was gone and so was his last shred of hope.
