Aggie threw an arm around her brother, the other occupied with her crutch, and peppered the entire side of his face in great big kisses, her mood far brighter than it'd been in months.
When finally she let him go so Ruby could get her greetings in as well, Aggie stood back and waited for Teddy to see the effort they'd put in. Streamers everywhere that Ruby could reach from the top of the step ladder, helium balloons left to float along the roof as they pleased, and not only his favourite cake from Cup Cake's, but all sorts of snack trays. Candy, fruit, veggie, and even one of different flavoured popcorn. Two wrapped gifts sitting there with it all.
