Had Kol known that buying a ticket as a point of entry into this event would put him to task on making an easter basket for kids he would've resisted Juliana's little plea of him coming along to this. For the entire day he'd been sustaining control with the abuse of alcohol, he even had a fresh beer he set on the table when he joined Britt, but he wasn't sure any of that was enough to numb him for this task. "You wanna get this done quick," he asked, a nod to the young woman he knew well as a bartender, because it sure as hell wasn't going to be painless. The positive? Britt knew his loss, the relentless sadness and grief that plagued him. Kol had drunk himself into oblivion in front of her enough times that the reasons for it eventually had come out. Despite the heat of the day he was almost frozen in place as he stared at the empty basket on the table. It'd been five years since he'd last done a basket for his little girl. "I'll, uhh..." He glanced up at the blonde, "owe ya one if you take the lead on this." Despite him being the one with the most personal experience between the two of them.
