mundane days came and went quicker than wooyoung could think to catch, occurring more often than he’d anticipated under a constant schedule that didn’t seem to want to let up. perhaps it was his fault, for refusing to break free from an ongoing limbo, if only to seize the opportunity to mend himself at a faster rate. though sanity was slipping, and he found himself more in tune with his thoughts and feelings than he’d ever been before. the first stage of losing ones mind, he’d tell himself, as the tips of his fingers repeatedly tapped over the injury that cursed his leg.
he had thought he’d be alone here, after all. didn’t consider that other people would be inclined to occupying the laundry room at this late an hour, to use its faculties. lost in his own little world, he hadn’t noticed the other enter until they were directly in front of his eyes. stolen from his thoughts, to instead raise his head fully, further allowing his gaze to settle upon her.
he hadn’t seen her here before. though, he hadn’t seen a lot of people who took residence in the avenue before. wasn’t the type to go searching for acquaintances at his doorstep, but rather avoid them like the plague if it was in his ability to do so. there were only a select few he could truly stop to talk to here, though a part of him wanted to talk to her, even in introduction.
wooyoung found himself standing. a mission in itself, if his slight wince was anything to go by, he had neglected to take his medication again, after all. closing the distance, to lean his wait beside her, a charming grin he hadn’t worn in an age bestowed upon lips as his head tilted just slightly to the side. what the fuck was happening? “hey, i don’t think we’ve met. i think i’d remember if we had,” if that wasn’t cringe-worthy, he didn’t know what would be, and he could only mentally kick himself for the words that had left his mouth. “i mean, i’m wooyoung. it’s a pleasure.”
