Her nose was nuzzled into her scarf, already running from the cold air. She’d been standing outside of his apartment door for too long, debating whether or not this was even a good idea. They hadn’t ended their last conversation on the best of terms, but she was incredibly worried about where that left her, and her job, and especially her debt. With a heavy sigh, she gave a light knock on the door, almost hoping he wouldn’t answer. There were so many directions this could go, a lot of which weren’t positive. Atop of it all, she was still left with questions that had been racing through her mind for a while now.
He’d been a mess, messier than she, and she’d been wasted. There were compliments that came from him that she’d never expected to hear, and when met with criticism, he’d only gotten angry. That was what caused this after all. He seemed to be stuck in his feelings about something, and she couldn’t help but feel like it was her.
