on and off
Noeul felt a sliver of imposter syndrome when he had stepped on set several hours ago, but the lively energy surrounding the set had helped ease his anxiousness. He was as inexperienced as they come and the other models were much better suited for his role. None of the modeling workshops could prepare him for the actual on set experience. He felt fawned over and invisible simultaneously. It was an odd feeling for him that for once he didn't want to occupy too much space, or be forgotten either.
Somehow, Jinyoung had chosen him to represent his brand. He still hadn't had the opportunity to thank him in person after he had been notified that he had been chosen to shoot a commercial and a photoshoot. He had jokingly asked if there were another Noeul in the company. He wanted to establish good rapport with the older man, but he would be satisfied with simply walking away by the end of the day without embarrassing Jinyoung, the brand, and himself.
Anyone that knew Noeul could tell that he was taking the shooting seriously with his usual playful nature left dormant, traded for active listening and following the director's guidance, wide-eyed with determination. It wasn't until a fifteen minute break was called to adjust for the shifting light that he felt like himself. He remained on the court, attempting to spin the basketball on his index finger like he had seen in movies. On his fourth attempt, the basketball dropped onto the asphalt and rolled towards Jinyoung.
He raises a hand to wave him over, quickly dropping it back to his side when he figures that he should seize the opportunity and strike a proper conversation with the man. "Do you play?" He points towards the basketball, flashing a warm smile. Maybe casual was best despite the amount of questions he had to ask the man. "I have a tendency to lose badly every time I do with my friends. I'm much better when the ball is on the ground..."
