𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓼𝓮𝓭 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓮𝓻 for @horrornlghts!
𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙑𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙃𝙊𝙎𝙋𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙇 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 a pep in her step, eden was feeling a lot more cheerful than she did when she first entered the establishment an hour ago. her monthly checkups had always brought on a lot of anxiety since her pregnancy started, worrying that she would end up with some sort of bad news about her baby when the doctor gave her an ultrasound. however, today's appointment had been a good one. she was having a girl. just the thought of a little version of herself running around played with her emotions, making her tear up as she kept staring at the ultrasound screen in awe. she wondered if her daughter would be a spitting image of herself, or if she would take her father's features; however, she pushed those thoughts away, not wanting to think about him on such a good day. after thanking the doctor and leaving the hospital, eden walked the short distance to her favorite boutique nearby. the entire way there she was thinking of cute names for her upcoming bundle of joy. sarah? marissa? cassie? there were so many to choose from. finally arriving at her destination, the brunette walked into the shop and gave a small wave to the saleswoman in greeting. she had ordered a few different dresses last week for her baby shower and today she was here to try them on. there were three to choose from, all beautiful but what worried her was if they were going to fit just right. her body still mostly looked the same, other than the growing tummy that was now evident to the world, but she was worried that she wouldn't find something she loved in time. slipping on the first dress ( a beautiful lace one with blue flowers), eden walked out of the dressing room and towards the mirror just a few steps away. she turned to the side, looking at herself in the attire as her hands found her stomach, stroking it softly with a smile. it was perfect. she's just about to turn around and go back into the fitting room when a figure appears behind her in the mirror from a distance, shock evident all over her face as she meets his gaze. it was kaiden.
