west holiday. ↬ closed. / @natashafms. west’s condo, late evening to early night.
— - the sun had already set, the beautiful shades of tangerine, lavender and rosewater fading along with cotton candy clouds that dissipated as the moon began to take over the sky. her, the moon, light BEAMING as it shone through windowed walls into a modern and yet classic living room set. some may have called such a balance between the simple nature of the moon and the HARSH REALITY of a celebrities living room art, but the man who paced between the glass coffee table and black leather couch seemed to have ruined whatever it could have been. a man, clad in an outfit befitting to that of the beggars that resided along the streets below him. a ripped up t - shirt that was sold as merch at one of his concerts and a pair of sweat pants that had worn elastic, seeing at they no longer stretched at the waistband. as if looks mattered right now.
— - west should have thought more about how he looked, usually west would’ve dressed up. shown the person that they were doing much better without them in their life. but, this was different. she was different. and he had no problem what - so - ever silently telling her that he was doing much worse without her. he had literally pushed his common sense, his conscience, the emotion out of his life. someone he’d gotten attached to was nowhere to be found. if you’ve ever wondered why west does what he does, sleeps around and forgets names, it was because of a certain blonde figure skater. she was the one thing keeping his head screwed on STRAIGHT, the only person who made him think before he spoke. seeing as she was gone now, west had nothing left to lose.
— - as the minutes turned into hours, he had sure faith that she wasn’t going to show up. it had made him feel sick to his stomach, thinking about having to see the sweater he’d gotten her, the pair of shoes that hadn’t LEFT the entry way, a few rings that were left on the bedside table of the side she slept on. things that would haunt him, things that simply made him numb from his chest outward to calloused finger tips. tingling, bare feet made their way to the bathroom, the small tube of SUGAR PEACH lip gloss practically glaring at him, teasing him, mocking him. almost like he can feel the sticky kiss that was pressed against his cheek, smelling peach for the rest of the day, no matter how hard he wiped it of his face. tapping the edge of the sink, seeing the lip gloss tease the idea of falling down the drain, west swiped it, shoving it into the pocket of the fabric keeping his legs warm. he thought : she can’t leave without this right ?
— - a knock was heard at the door, west jumping, seeing such a tired face in the mirror and every curl out of place. eyes shut slowly, a soft exhale leaving his lips, fogging the center bottom of the mirror. it was the times like this where he watched the fog leave the glass, wishing he could do the SAME. a soft groan followed his breath, turning to peek out his bathroom, waiting to see if there was another knock. knock, knock, knock ! there it was again. now numb feet shuffled toward the door, not daring to look through the peep - hole. ❛ nat — asha, natasha... ❜ he whispered, now was not the time for nicknames.
— - furrowed brows covered the gem colored eyes that stared at the blonde, suddenly feeling his heart beat fast against his chest. the fear that his heart might crack the bones that protected the organ. parted lips that threatened to speak once more simply wavered, almost as if he couldn’t think of anything to say... a first for the brunette. ❛ come in, ❜ he managed, stepping out of her way to walk into such a spotless home. HEAT began to fill his veins, embarrassed and flustered as she looked around his home. west pushed his hands into his pockets, holding the tube of cosmetics in his hand tightly, knowing this was the only thing he could use to keep her here. the only thing he could use to savor this moment, this moment that would possibly be the LAST TIME he’d ever get to spend with her alone.
