ftillcra:
He stopped when the other did, out of pure instinct, heels turning around on the pavement as the kids giggled nearby, dressed up in sheets and hats, parodies of monsters that lurked in nights like that, without need to disguise, turning Halloween in one of the most dangerous nights of the year. Long, cold and eerie, there was no reason for them to still be out there. Isaac wasn’t actually that scared of the monsters, but rather what he could react when attacked by them.
With a questioning look that only grew shocked, the silver haired swallowed thickly, a moment too long before he gripped the others wrists and start sprinting towards the opposite direction. That…energy, the shining around the silhouette of the being…he had never seen that before. It was amorphous, but still had claws. The witch couldn’t think of something more deadly.
When his building came on sight, he slowed down, panting, breath becoming steam that flew through the night into the starless sky. Again, he faced the other, there was no sign of him being injured gravely. “You….” he took a second to get his breath back, the air too heavy to fully breathe properly. “You alright?”
halloween, the acutely night of where ghosts incognito into the crowds of kids just to play human. their feet hovering over the footpath with not much enthusiasm, yet managed to shoot their eerie smiles it’s way to jin’s path. he should’ve gotten used to this, crossing his way between life and death every goddamn day of his life, turning blind eyes to the enticing invitation of death. not that jin minds it. death is the end of everybody at some points of life, it’s just, it’d be nice to live without a constant reminds of it all the time.
but nevertheless, jin never respond, until a sharp claw dug into the cheap fabric of his white-stained shirt, nervous laughter elicit from his frail lips, the very sensation of trepidation shooting down his spine. feet paralyzed, completely glued onto the ground and cusses never been so fluent against his lips, tongue filled with hatred, annoyance filled into the brim but it all disappeared at the sudden movement of the other male, wincing a little tad too loudly with both feet sprinting, crimson blood dripping down his shoulders with it’s metallic smell filling his nose. right hand clutches tight to his left wound, eyes squeezing tight with huge puffs of breath releases out in such a wonder as to why exactly is he still alive, when he was so sure that it was the end of him?
“what.. what the fuck was that thing?” he ignored the male’s question fully, slumping his back against the wall in an attempt to gasp in as much oxygens as he could, despite his lungs constricting itself with how fast his legs carried him all the way here. “was it.. even human?”
