WHILE I’M LISTING FTPVERSE RELATIONSHIPS THAT MAY NEVER GET TOUCHED, HERE’S DEFINITELY ONE THAT’S NOT GONNA GET MUCH EXPLORATION:

ROXAS AND VEN

you’d think i’d capitalize on this and in reality the original concept for ATR ft them hanging out a lot!! ((roxas’s plotline was closely tied with aqua’s and ven’s, actually!)) but i decided that there wasn’t room for it and i wasn’t as interested in it as i used to be so i cut it, and thanks to Things That Are Gonna Happen, roxas and ven won’t get to interact much in ftpverse mainstream until atr’s over, probably!

that’s ok tho, they wouldn’t get along. roxas is too mean and kind of bad at interacting w/ anyone who’s not axel. roxas would never stop prying into things ven didn’t want pried upon and he’d also never stop making cruel jokes and if ven didn’t punch him in the face aqua would, at some point, so, lmaoooooooo

It was as Aqua was reaching into the second drawer that Ven noticed something. Well, maybe noticed wasn’t the right word. It wasn’t this was the first time he’d noticed—he’d noticed this before. He’d just never taken the time to ask her about it.

fun new ftpverse fact: Ven and Aqua moved into Yen Sid’s, as of atr40 or whatever. Since Aqua has to train Sora there basically every day, it makes most sense to just stay in one spot rather than constantly move. besides, it’s not like 1) jumping from world to world looking for terra was working 2) they’d actually find him, since he’s still with xehanort, and, they know that

they share a room. they didn’t have to, because, it’s not like there wasn’t plenty room in the tower otherwise, but. both of them are prone to sleepless nights and night terrors at this point. they survived before by just sleeping on the ground next to each other (which, has other perks when you’re camping) so why do any different now? sure, they have separate beds but. the concept is the same. if one of them has a bad dream the other’s right there to comfort them. or, yanno, if they don’t want to wake the other up and haven’t yet on accident, they can look over and be reassured by their presence.

ok i know why i haven’t considered sora/ven dynamics in ftpverse but oh my god..... they’d be so good..... oh my god sora/ven dynamics in GENERAL woudl be so good..... heLP

GOSH!!! DUH!!! i wanted so bad for ven in ftpverse to be like 17 and actually, i guess, it’s not that far from the realm of believable!! it’s unclear exactly what his age is in canon, besides it being in the 14-16 range ((i’d always leaned closer to 16, because “xehanort puts a 12 yo thru unimaginable pain and turmoil” is Slightly more bearable than a 10 yo))

and i’d resigned myself to ftpvesre aqua and terra being older than i’d like to imagine them in kh canon bc bbs happens three years later in ftpverse, and there’s no reason ven shouldn’t be slightly older as well? 

also it fixes my problem with sora and ven’s hearts connecting which was “if ven shows up in LoD seven years b4 bbs does that mean he was fucking 8 years old when xehanort split vanitas from him” THOUGH I MEAN HIM BEING TEN YEARS OLD WHEN IT HAPPENED ISN’T MUCH BETTER, BUT I, SHRUGS VAGUELY, THAT’S KH CANON’S PROBLEM TOO!!!!!

i'm sure i'v talked about it but it hasn't been recently

i have this headcanon where ven accidentally causes violent windstorms when he's upset (they are worst at night, worst accompanied by nightmares) and aqua and terra have many-a-time had to force their way into his room where the wind is strongest to calm him down

also nearly every time he gets upset and then the wind starts and then he PANICS because he knows he's doing it but he's not CONCIOUSLY doing it so he doesn't know how to stop it and frankly having this power which is caused by him but he can't control is absolutely terrifying
