ok, for the record, i didnt mean to say that the only bad thing my mother ever does is control my hair. she’s very controlling in general, to a degree that makes me feel unsafe around her, and the way she tries to control my appearance is a big factor in that

she’s not abusive just cause she wont let me cut my hair, shes abusive because of a lot of little factors like that which add up over the years. the hair thing is just especially important to me because it causes me dysphoria, and it’s one of the more obvious ways in which she tries to control me. 

it’s really hurt me, and can be a symptom of an abusive relationship, and i dont like seeing people make it into a joke. thats why i blew up so much.
