As most of you have probably heard, redbubble is pulling some nonsense and trying to squeeze as much out of their artists as possible...
Well. On a brighter note, I recently got my hands on an art printer and was literally running test prints when I heard about redbubble’s new policy’s.
In light of the whole ordeal I’ve decided to release my test prints into the wild! They turned out really well and I’m really happy with them. I hope you are too <3 Help support independent artists like me escape the corporate death grip of print on demand services! More info in source link
WE DID IT LADS! REDBUBBLE IS NO MORE!
I’ve gotten most of the work taken down so unless one of the theives tries to argue against the takedown it should be all good
By no means fully functioning yet, but if you want to check out my Threadless as I work on moving everything over from Redbubble, you can find it here!
I’m wheezing wtf is this
grrrrrrr actually fuck Redbubble I hate it
You're telling me I'm not allowed to sell my print of a dude that I just thought kinda looked like Tommy Chong like seriously fuck this shit
anyway here's the full artwork since it's gone from redbubble. It's an actual wood block print I made but whatever
attention
Closed my RedBubble account because it some how got suspended?? I have no idea how (already reached out to see if it could get corrected no luck) or why and redbubble doesn’t give you a clear answer or even the option to correct something if there was a mistake made so yeah….
Does anyone know of a good place where I can sell prints, stickers and such? I can’t afford to do them by hand n since I’m just starting out.
Would love the help and advice!!
i know this like, has already been said by smarter people/people more versed on this topic, but for any other young teenage dumbass who makes art but doesn't know how to market themselves and their mom or their millennial older sibling is like "hey you should post ur art on redbubble to make some money while ur working a minimum wage job!"
don't do that.
disregarding the morals of using redbubble, like disregarding the intellectual property theft done on there, disregarding even the possibility of your art being stolen after being posted on there, disregard that for a second.
you will not make any money.
redbubble is insane in the amount it takes from each sale. in the 5 years I've had my redbubble, do you wanna know how much money i've made from the teensy cut they give me on each sale? selling phone cases, stickers, tapestries that are actually cropped properly, fan art of popular characters like Judy Hopps and Medusa! you wanna know how much money you can make as a small artist in 5 years on redbubble?
