Sometimes you gotta call the cops to get an insurance report when you get hit and they run. Ugggh
And now my pain is flaring because if all this. Fuck. Yall pray the thc oil and headsplitter tincture I just took helps.

Sorry in advance...
I will have to wait to update Impromptu until next week. There is a lot going on this week, more than I actually have time for, but I have to somehow fit everything into the space of four days, and then I get a short vacation this weekend.
I'm as disappointed as you are, believe me. I haven't had this much fun writing a story in a looooooong time. I'd much rather be writing it than dealing with everything else, but unfortunately, adulting is kind of mandatory. C'est la vie.
Next update on April 21st. See you then!
I will.. come ... back soon.. yes... I will
I had my first near heart attack as a teacher
The exit ticket was Define what multi-meaning word means. So I asked the class to give me a word with more than one meaning. One girl said 'hot" and I asked her to explain. She said 'it's hot outside and I'm hot" I said "Well that's the same thing, both are a temperature" and she tossed her hair and said 'No, I AM hot!" I said "Okay I'll give you that one. Did you know that in the 70's if a girl was hot they called her a Fox?"
One boy popped up and asked, in front of everyone "Ms ________, do you like girls?" I was sure I had heard him wrong, (I can’t hear for shit anyone)so I asked him to repeat and he did. "Do you like girls or do you like boys??!"
I had no idea what to say without getting myself in trouble so I said: "I like everyone, that's why I teach." But maybe saying "I like everyone!" might get me in as much trouble as anything else!! As I turned back to the white board I heard him say “Oh so you like girls AND boys!!! and at that point I pretended to go deaf.
Like where did he get that? B/c I'm not married, have no kids and cats I guess? I mean, yeah I like girls, nerdy and or punk rock girls but JFC I'm in a town of 9,000 or so and I'm not trying to be obvious. AND HE’S 11 YEARS OLD!!!
So that was my first heart attack. smh I’m guessing this goes along with the post about the kids who got their Maths teacher to admit he was asexual but JFC, did you ever stop to think IT’S NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS AND IN TEXAS IT WILL GET ME FIRED??
I was tagged by @beatasticband for my Saturday night face.
This is the face of a dedicated teacher who hasn’t had a day off in 4 weeks and works 11 hours a day, 6 days a week. And two more on Sundays She is holding up a book she started in the summer and will probably never finish (though now I am hooked on Wonder and am reading it at school). I tag all the other hard-working women out there.
In a few more hours it’s going to be my birthday
exactly two years ago I was in a Super 8 motel in Corpus Christi with @matthewmohawk getting ready to get my Deuce mask sugar skull tattoo that he had designed for me. That was the best day, getting that tattoo, various friends dropping by as I was having it done, before that going to breakfast at my favorite place with my two favorite people.
Last year I was here in town signing the lease for my apartment and finalizing my paperwork for what has turned out to be the best job I’ve ever had. Even though I was still so sick from having pneumonia in May, I still busted ass, finished my certification and went all over the area looking for work. I got this job and never looked back. Our reading department put up the best test scores our school has had in years. I’ve made friends with my colleagues in a way I have not in years and years.
That nostalgia is great but it is also another year alone, another year without my sister Terri and my niece/best friend LeAnn and everyone else in my family who has gone on. But by God's grace, I am still here. There is a reason for it and I am going to make the best of it.
Another great day!
I wish you could come meet my kids. They are all so incredible!! I love them all and it's gonna be hard to say goodbye. There were maybe one or two kids I connected with last year but here I've connected with almost all of them and it has been incredible.
Everyone wants to eat lunch with me so I had an incentive where if they passed their STAAR reading test they could eat with me, four or five at a time. With one group we watched FORTNITE videos on youtube and they taught me the victory dances, with another we watched DIY videos on making your own glitter makeup and I snuck them desserts from the teacher's lounge. It's crazy, all it takes to make them happy is to let them share what they like with you
Today was one of the best days ever. I am so glad I stayed alive to see it.
Somewhere above the clouds, my parents, sisters, LeAnn and Margo are smiling
