Nobody likes it, but there’s nothing more gauche than whining about people’s body odour on public transport. People’s natural scent is something personal. Assuming people are unhygienic because you don’t like how they smell is not giving empathetic. I know it’s an unserious post but it’s a mean joke.
Yeah, because I’m definitely going to take social etiquette lessons from someone who won’t even come off anon to say this.
And for your comprehension, there is a difference between saying on my own blog that the Tube smells overwhelming in a heatwave — BO, perfume, dirty seats, spilled drinks, tunnel smell and all — and actually saying this to people irl or directing it at an individual (which would actually constitute the lack of empathy you seem to be crusading against).
But know what actually isn’t especially kind? Coming into someone’s inbox because you’ve appointed yourself the mayor of manners and decided you get to scold them and personally insult them (as if you have some authority).
