RAIRECHU SAID: ///WHISPERS WILL YOU WRITE YANDERE SIN? (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
DO YOU KNOW HOW BADLY I’VE BEEN WANTING TO WRITE YANDERE
Hold on to your shit, I'mma rant to you about QI
YA'LL MOTHER FUCKERS NEED TO WATCH THIS SHIT RIGHT NOW BECAUSE NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT AND IT IS A FANTASTIC SHOW THAT I GUARAN-DAMN-TEE TUMBLR WOULD LOVE SO GET ON IT.
Whoa. Sorry bout that.
No but seriously, QI is an amazing quiz show that is equal parts comedy and utterly useless information. It's the show that told us the Earth has three five 18,000 moons.
"Yeah that's... cool, I guess? Why the hell should I watch some stupid game show?"
Because of so many wonderful reasons my ignorant friend. First of all, it's hosted by one of the most amazing gay men (the show has nothing to do with the dude's sexuality, it's rarely brought up and usually because of (un)intentional innuendo. The only reason I mention it now is because there's not much representation and it's pretty fucking cool, you know?) in the world, the fantastic Stephen Fry. Dude's constantly being made fun of for how posh he is, which is pretty fucking hilarious sometimes.
There's also this other guy called Alan Davies, who is also amazing. If Stephen Fry is supposed to be the genius, then Alan Davies is a fucking idiot. He isn't, of course, I'm pretty sure he's actually pretty smart, it's just that the questions revolve around a very specific kind of smart that Alan Davies just isn't. Their dynamic is fucking wonderful.
There's also three other people who "compete," and I use that term in the loosest possible sense, who are different each week. Some of my personal favorites are Rob Brydon, Bill Bailey, Phil Jupitus, and all of the women who appear. There are also occasionally more famous people who show up, like David Tennant, Hugh Laurie, Emma Thompson, Daniel Radcliffe, Tim Minchin, etc.
Another reason to watch is each season goes by a letter, so season 1 is A, season 2 is B, so on and so forth. This means that every episode is about something beginning with that season's letter. For example, I just watched an ep is K called Kinks. They're on L right now.
And the best reason of all? You can find all/a vast majority of QI on netflix and youtube.
So what the fuck are you still doing here? Go watch the shit out of this show and yell at me about how much you love it!
Edit: K so apparently the only place you can see it on youtube is on a pay to watch channel or, if like me you don't live in the UK, you're shit outta luck. pretty sure it's still on netflix and, c'mon guys, you're old enough to know if you really want to watch something, you can find it online. I would never condone looking to illegal means to get a tv show or movie. Nope. Never.
I'm super tired today. Gonna have a nice quite QI marathon and maybe take a nap.
Y'all need to sit down, shut the fuck up, and listen to what I have to say about Halt and Catch Fire
That shit is solid gold. Halt and Catch Fire is a fantastic 10 episode show on AMC that is well written, well acted, and has a cool as shit opening. It's like red sketchy Tron in the best possible way. Plus a bunch of other awesome reasons that I don't know about because I haven't taken film classes.
What drew me in was mother fucking Lee Pace. Nothing makes me happier than seeing an actor play completely different roles through out their career and seeing Ned the Piemaker doing all of the shit he does in this show just makes it that much better. Oh, and for those looking, he's bi. Not gay, not straight, bi. He's an asshole, too, but he's so good at it. Okay, maybe half the reason I watched this was just to watch Lee Pace, but is that really so bad? The fucking rocks at his job.
There's fantastic character development, it's set in the 80's around a team trying to build essentially the first laptop, you can trust that AMC knows what they're doing with their shows. Believe me, it's a show worth watching. And their's going to be a second season! I'm super pumped.
So in summation, watch this fucking show about a bunch of computer nerds in the 80's. You'll love it, I promise.
Gorilla takes a bath...and fucking loves every second of it.
