orange!
orange: what makes you feel warm inside? spending time with my sister and cousins.
what’s your favorite halloween tradition? my fiancee and i often have multiple couples halloween costumes, and plot months in advance. we LOVE halloween.
what’s the last thing you learned? a friend of mine is becoming a funeral director, so i’ve been asking her a LOT of questions about funeral trends. (two words you don’t often hear back to back.)
when’s the last time you felt obsessed? when i spent way too long trying to find the perfect 70s jumpsuit for a small person like me. i was unsuccessful...for now.
what’s your favorite article of clothing? not a jumpsuit, clearly. actually, i have a great pair of floral print short overalls that are so cute and weird and i love them in the summer.
favorite FatT character, favorite dessert, favorite place you've ever lived
let’s do the easy ones first!
dessert: microwave melt-in-the-middle chocolate puds. a proper chocolate fondant is nice once in a while but honestly these have been my go-to sad food for the last year and they’re the best
place: for place as in town/city, liverpool. for place as in house/home, this one house i lived in for 4-5 months in cambridge. it was a gigantic house, easily enough for 5-6 people, but there were only 3 of us and the rent was wayyy below market value. BUT mostly i loved it because space, because it had a fuckin Aga, and because the garden was big and semi-rural enough that sometimes deer would just... wander in and hang out and you could watch them if you kept still and quiet enough!
FatT character: i’m gonna narrow this down *slightly* to PCs only because otherwise i have no chance. it’s basically all of jack’s characters?? counterweight was where i fell completely in love with the podcast so i have a real soft spot for orth, but i’m still deep in my feelings about twilight mirage too. if i’ve gotta pick one i think it has to be fourteen fifteen, right now, with honourable mentions for echo reverie and also hella (i have a strong feeling she’s gonna be vying for that no. 1 spot as spring continues... )
primrose, lilac, snowdrop~
Aww, thanks! Primrose: okay my immediate impulse, if I’m being honest, was Les Mis, and while it is unrealistically, ridiculously long for the prompt ‘what does everyone need to read right now’ I think I...stand by that. Like skip Waterloo, or whatever, but read the character parts. Because I think what is really cool about Les Mis is that Hugo obviously loves all his characters; even when he’s hard on them he loves them; and I think that kind of patient deep sympathy and kindness and genorosity of spirit is a) really cool to read and b) really important, especially right now. Lilac: so Academic Me is like, oooh, you could go to one of the periods you’ve studied! But honestly all the periods I’ve studied have been deeply miserable—like more than your usual run of the mill miserable (Russian 20s-30s! Nero!)—so honestly probably not. I do think, despite the immense amount of stuff that almost immediately went wrong, that the first French Revolution would have been a thing to see, though. The 1920s would have been really interesting, too, for similar reasons, I think: the social order dramatically changing in a relatively short period of time with a lot of hope for the future in spite of the recent past. So maybe one of those? Snowdrop: I’m not sure that I have a solid idea of what that would look like but I think my ideal day would be calm and sunny and I would write a lot and go outside a lot in nature and my friends would be near. Weather-wise, I really love that cool humidity towards the very end of summer when fall is on the way. And pumpkins? There would be pumpkins. Idk where, they would just be around.
fuzzy socks, umbrella, candlelight, morning fog!
[asks here]
fuzzy socks: do you prefer warm or cold weather? why? cold cold cold! i am a feeble Brit and have basically no tolerance for heat. unfortunately for me, my birthday is in July!
umbrella: what makes you feel safe? at the moment, very little, but my brain is currently doing a bit of a number on me. i’m trying to find safety in people and in quiet spaces, particularly ones i’ve made for myself.
candlelight: what is your favorite scent? why? am i going to be that person who says ‘books’ and ‘freshly cut grass’
yes
but also, the smell of the sea
morning fog: do you prefer waking up early or sleeping in? look, i’d really like to be one of those people who gets up, but i’m just not. i don’t know if it counts to prefer sleeping in if that’s basically the only way i can function but

fuuuuuuuuck that’s so good? that’s so good. that’s SO good.
there’s a function wherein you can play a trans woman, which is probably the best thing that’s ever happened to a tabletop rpg
fuckitfireeverything replied to your photo: There was a night bomber regiment in World War Two...
shit this sounds good
i’ve been trying to put together a game for months!!
it has basically 2 methods of play: day/night. so during the day you have to scrounge for parts + avoid being detected by soviet officers who would give you infractions for violating the laws/rules of the red army and by night you have to bomb german camps and supply lines
& it’s powered by apocalypse so the game play is fun and intuitive~
