Thank you! This is my first time trying to look like someone else in a cosplay and it's all come together slower than I expected. I'm starting to get more excited than nervous!

It's been ages since I did this technique, but one thing that used to help me was sending one needle through the hole, then pulling back on that needle so the thread is snug against one side of the hole before sticking the other needle through.

I thought of that and I'm trying but this is just not working. But I'm also having trouble getting the needle through the hole so maybe I'm not making the puncture right to have room?

I don't know. I just managed 3 stitches without incident so that's a little nice. Thanks for the help though! I'm going to try to focus on doing that the next few and see what happens.
