The quote was "that performance wasn't worthy of the honour of our Jersey" and the other quote was "everyone needs to show they're worthy of our Jersey" so he wasn't picking on people in the team he was generally saying they all need to do better, himself included. So please, If your going to talk shit about him, maybe get your facts straight first. And how was Neuer a better captain? One season as captain and we finished in 14th place and then he left!

Okay but there’s no need to be harsh, we all can have a calm discussion. We really weren’t talking shit about anyone. I can’t talk for that anon, but having a fave doesn’t automatically imply I’m not going to look at them from a critical point of view, especially when they have nothing to do with me except for the fact I like watching Benedikt play and I think he’s cute.

About the interview: all I can deduce at this point is this issue being reduced to semantics. He didn’t pick on anyone in particular in the team, yeah, but using ‘everyone/they’ is very different from using ‘we’. However it is, being so focused in which personal pronoun he used in order to know if he was or wasn’t including himself, is kind of pointless and really picky, at least that’s what I think.

Finally, as I said in the first reply to this discussion, I’m not allowed to compare Schalke captains because I don’t know the details, I’m really only starting to get into it. So that’s an opinion I can’t answer to because I’d be making up words for the sake of it.
