Update

I hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas and / or Happy Holidays.

I’ve been spending mine relaxing after some major life changes near the end of the year, so I don’t have much to report. There has been some progress though.

Done

The next prompt list is queued for release.

I have updated the SAS and Spetsnaz operators on the Operators Y1 - Y3 page to contain updated links (AO3), fixed / new images, and relevant cinematics and trailers.

I’m still debating on whether to update the Ship Tags section, which is why it remains blank. Ships can be quite polarizing and most aren’t canon, so it doesn’t make sense to have them in a biography that pulls from lore.

Tachanka’s biography now reflects the latest changes that came with the rework.

To Do

Again, still need to refresh the Operators Y1 - Y3 page with the latest updated biographies for the DLC operators.

Still need to resolve broken and inaccurate links / images in Operators Y1 - Y3 for GIGN, GSG9, FBI and DLC Operators.

Still plan to launch an operator birthday tracking Calendar

Update

I’ve been working on a few tweaks and updates to the blog this weekend, after blowing out the cobwebs. The list of Done and To Do is below.

Done

Updated the Operators page to incorporate all current Operators

Due to Tumblr limitations, I had to split the Operators page into two different pages. You can now find both pages in the Navigation bar as Operators Y1 - Y3 and Operators Y4 - Y6.

Removed Fic Recs, and replaced with Game News.

There have always been a lot of challenges around fanfiction recommendations on the blog, in part due to our rules and also due to limited Community interest. The onus for updating Fic Recs has historically fallen to (an) Admin(s), which often led to recommendations formed on one person’s bias / personal tastes, or the Admin having to look at stories they didn’t necessarily want to. Not fun! Now I do track a lot of Siege news and leaks, and I think a better use of the space and time on this blog would be to help keep everyone in the know about what Ubisoft has planned for our favorite game throughout the year. This is the reasoning behind the inclusion of Game News.

Mid-Week Update

I’d hoped to have more done by this point, but it’s been a shocking week for me. A little bit of progress is still progress though, right? Here’s what’s changed.

Done

R6S FANFIC has been added to top navigation.

It tracks the tag ‘r6s fanfic’ on the blog.

This link is intended to promote works in the Community, in the same way that Fanart has always been promoted on the blog. Fanfics reblogged under this tag may or may not have been read by an Admin and should not be considered to be personally endorsed by an Admin. This is because (the current) Admin(s) don’t have time to look through everything, and don’t want to miss promoting something because they’re time-poor.

Resources has been moved to the side navigation.

Laws have been updated.

The first round of Weekly Prompts has been created and queued. They will appear at the beginning of next week.
