Okay so I'm really glad I don't make Homestuck fanart.

Because if I did, I would probably draw at least some of the characters as white, and I would hate to be reblogged by this new blog here: fuckyeahwhitestuck.

There is no reason for this blog to even exist.

No one is stopping you from drawing the characters as white. No one is saying that you're a terrible person if you draw characters as white. Blogs like pocstuck and fuckyeahpochomestuck exist to collect and encourage art with where the characters are POC. They are notbanning youfrom drawing whatever the fuck you want.

Now, you probably shouldn't draw them all white, all the time. In fact, you should really evaluate what's going on in your head if all you want to do is draw white people. You might be sort of racist. Like. I understand. I'm white, and I worry about presenting POC in a respectful way when I write. Sometimes I feel like I'm not up for the task so I just write about people who look like me because it's easier. I'm not proud of that, but I'm not going to lie about it, either. Still, it's important to at least try, sometimes? Or at least not work yourself into a frenzy because other people are contributing awesome art to the fandom, and are trying to encourage the kind of art they want to see?

But yeah, white is the default. You do not need a "safe space" to draw white characters. If you want to draw them as white, go right the fuck ahead.Fuckyeahwhitestuck is a ridiculous blog, and everyone who reads this should go follow pocstuck instead because it's awesome. Drawing characters as POC is a very good thing, and if you don't want to participate in it, at least don't tread on people who do.
