Freenbecky Universe End of Year 2024 Part 4 (Final Part)
Yup! Only fitting this gets its own post. 😆 Anilpin's consensual jealousy is one of my absolute favorite things about them! Jealousy is just kind of a thing for them, and it's sooo gooood. It's even better because though they both have it (jealousy and possessiveness and mutual obsession with each other), they always talk it out, too, which makes them the most healthy couple I've seen!
Best jealousy moment:
So, this was the initial winner for me... But then I remembered about the absolute top jealous moment between the two that follows, and I just had to add it and make it supplant the other.
So the true best jealousy moment is below. (I also had to share almost moment by moment because Becky and Freen's expressions are just so good.)
(This is not a repeat. Pin's hands lift and curl on the table as she feels her devastating inability to approach Anil or reach out and check on her, it translating into an aborted movement of doing so physically. This is one of my absolute favorite acting choices Freen made, showing just how much she knows and understands Pin and her - shutdown - urges.)
(Not only do we get Prik's reaction to Anil's "audacity" in the last panel, but I took this shot really to show off Anil's immediate look at Pin after instructing Prik to get the room ready. Anil knows what she's doing, and she wants Pin, in that moment, to feel what it's like to know there's going to be someone else in the same home, same space - with them - that's not the other; unwanted and intruding and violently emotionally threatening.
And you can see Pin feeling this - if maybe not comprehending fully what Anil means for it re: the future, alas - as the scene continues.)
