Fugitive's Mantle - Chantry Begone Mod

I know it’s been a day since I shared my last mod, but coincidentally I wrapped up this one around the same time.

It’s always bothered me beyond personal reasons that Malcom’s armour had Chantry shit all over it. Like that makes no sense? So I got rid of it. And in the optional files, replaced it with stuff. (Open to more suggestions, BTW.)

COSPLAY PROGRESS PHOTOS!

my mod podge finally dried and so i just spraypainted it, i'll weather it in the morning. i feel bad now b/c i was too impatient to do any more coats, but you can see where the mod podge dried thicker - it looks more metally. 

(you can also see my excessive use of duct tape LOL whoops? it's my first cosplay, i forgive myself.)

Getting the Mage Pack DLC for DA2

...just so I can take screenshots from different angles/lighting for reference. Wow self. Wow.

If I finish this cosplay of the Fugitive's Mantle in time, I'll be wearing it to Anime Boston in April! (I should probably be wearing it to PAX East, but I'm registered for a table at the Artist Alley and I can't just leave my friends to run it on their own...I might go for one day, we'll see?)

Any tips for a beginner cosplayer? The first and last cosplay I did was an Umbreon gijinka to aNEXT, which is...pretty different. On the other hand, I do stage and costume design at my internship so while making the costume isn't so new, wearing it will be!
