I’m honestly so done with myself. My biggest regret is gaslighting myself into thinking I was fine being basic. It’s just not true. I’ve got nothing going for me—no cash, no clothes, no makeup, no skincare, no style, zero talent, zero drive, no motivation. It hurts seeing how I haven't changed at all each fucking year.

People see atheists as non-believers. GURL, I made up a whole religion and it's housed in my head and heart.

It's true! People think atheists don't have any beliefs. And it's true that I don't believe in a "god," but that doesn't mean I have no beliefs at all. I believe in nature, science, education, and so much more. I have my own beliefs, and the only difference between mine and those of others ( I would call it, no offence - a commercial religion), is that mine isn't written down in a book. There are no other people who can say they have the exact same beliefs as I do. And there's no hell, no sins. There's just me, because that's what it's about. My religion is just me and what I stand for, and the beauty is that it can evolve alongside me as I grow. That's the point of not writing it down and housing it in your heart instead, because otherwise, the words you pen down today might be considered holy in a thousand years, and I think that's a problem.

Ps: I don't have any problems with religious people, as long as they take their holy book with a grain of salt. :)
