Defendant: Albert Wood

Summary of Incident:

On 11/20/2019 at approximately 0944 hours I initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. The defendant was in the passenger seat. The defendant gave a false name and upon further investigation it was determined that his correct name was Albert Wood and he had an extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire. 

Wood was then taken into custody. Wood was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 11/21/2019 to answer to the alleged charge of Fugitive from Justice. Wood was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000.00 cash or surety bail.

Defendant: John Fernandes, 34, Cavendish VT 

Summary of Incident:

On 10/10/2019 at approximately 0016 hours Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Southridge Street. John Fernandes was a passenger in the vehicle. John had two active arrest warrants out of New Hampshire. When John was being taken into custody he took leg bail and a foot pursuit ensued. John was caught and taken into custody.

John was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 10/10/2019 to answer to the alleged charges of two counts of Fugitive from Justice and Resisting Arrest. John was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 cash or surety bail.

Summary of Incident:

On 09/07/2019 at approximately 1308 hours the defendant, Britain Stocker, was observed walking on Main Street. After dispatch conducted a warrant check on Stocker, it was found that he had an extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire.

Stocker was then taken into custody for the alleged Fugitive from Justice. 

Stocker was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 09/09/2019 to answer to the alleged charge of Fugitive from Justice. Stocker was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000.00 cash or surety bail.

Defendant: Anthony Roberts, Springfield VT

Summary of Incident:

On 08/31/2019 at approximately 0326 hours I was dispatched to the area of Myrtle Street in Springfield, VT for the report that people were attempting to break into vehicles on the street. A male matching the description of one of the people who was attempting to break into vehicles was observed walking up Park Street near the Park Street School. 

The male was identified as the defendant, Anthony Roberts, after he allegedly gave a false name. Roberts was arrested on a Vermont warrant and it was later determined that Roberts had an extraditable warrant out of New York. Roberts was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 09/03/2019 to answer to the alleged charge of Fugitive From Justice. Roberts was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000.00 cash or surety bail.

John had an active arrest warrant out of New Hampshire and was taken into custody. John was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.

John was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 07/30/2019 to answer to the alleged charge of Fugitive from Justice. John was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash or surety bail.

Michael had an active arrest warrant out of Vermont as well as New Hampshire. Michael was also found to allegedly be in possession of a controlled substance.

Michael was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 06/27/2019 to answer to the alleged charge of Fugitive From Justice and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Michael was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash or surety bail.
