Evil Wolverine is talking himself up here (which is hilarious to me, because he’s completely alone), but tldr he basically figured out what Lava Lamp did and was just like “...eh”. And then continued with his plan anyway.
But even in his memory he’s complimenting himself on how well it turned out and GOD I HATE THIS MAN OK.
HONESTLY FUJITAKA IS TOO GOOD FOR THIS WORLD.
Even though Evil Wolverine expected it to happen, Fujitaka just. Sees this tiny child alone and injured in the rain and JUST. TAKES OFF HIS JACKET AND SMILES AT HIM.
AND THIS IS NOT NEWS. WE KNEW THIS HAPPENED. WE’VE KNOWN FOR A LONG TIME.
BUT SEEING it happen is extra important to me, because we finally have the matching images to Syaoran’s earlier flashbacks of how his earliest memories are OF THIS. Of the moments after his creation, alone and abandoned in the world with nowhere to go and no-one he knows and not even a single memory to help him. All he has is the rain, and such an emptiness that he isn’t even trying to do anything but sit there by himself.
AND FUJITAKA JUST. STOPS EVERYTHING HE’S DOING TO HELP THIS TINY CHILD.
