I just washed my bedding, took the time to make the bed and then suddenly CATTE.
So. I had to wash the topmost comforter because Nadia (pictured) threw up on it last night. While it was in the washing machine, I put my fuzzy warm robe on the bed while I used the restroom. Nadia decided the robe was now hers. Then refused to move when I put the freshly washed blanket down.
This picture is the result.

Cat update!
I bought a flea shampoo that’s rub in only, no need to bathe the cat in water. Rubbed that in and Vache loved every second of it. Totally ate up all the rubbing and attention. However, it says not to use it near eyes or ears or mouth so I couldn’t put it on his head except at the back of his ears and the lower part of his neck.
@dreamfluxx gave me the idea to use a flea comb. Found a good one that’s very fine toothed. Ran that over Vache after his shampooing and not a bit of anything until... yeah, his head. The one place I couldn’t shampoo. Found a ton of eggs and fleas and flea dirt. Spent a good 45 minutes combing and combing and combing some more. Dumped any fur, fleas and dirt into a large pail of water by the side of the bed.
He’s very happy now. No longer scratching and fast asleep. I gave him a vitamin meant to calm and help cats sleep in stressful situations. So he may be out like a light for a bit, poor guy.
Nadia let me comb her down, too. But wouldn’t let me even think about shampooing her. Raleigh won’t let me anywhere near him with the comb. I’m hoping if I go to bed early he’ll join me for nighttime cuddles. Then maybe he’ll let me comb him around the head area.
Hopefully all of us will sleep better tonight. I’m washing bedding again. God I hate fucking fleas. This is exhausting.
Here, have a catte butt. Catte butts are allowed right?
Last night, I curled up on my side under a mountain of blankets. I felt a cat nosing in behind me and sure enough, it was Vache sliding under the blankets and curling up against my back.
Two minutes later I heard a ‘Mew’ from Raleigh, which was always his way of saying ‘I want under the blankets Mom’. So I opened them up and in he crawled, curling up against my chest.
Lastly along comes Nadia, deciding she’s going to sleep on my hip.
Just in case anyone needed to laugh tonight. Here’s Raleigh falling off his cat tree again.
And the aftermath: Raleigh remembering not to fall off this time.
