Spent today -well, this morning-in a cooking class! Here's what was on the menu: mixed veggie rice, healthy chicken teriyaki, tofu okinomiyaki, and finally a nice soup with lots of veggies, mirin, and green onion. We got to keep the recipe and something tells me that next week's meals will include selections from this menu. It was really fun and I made lots of friends with English and Japanese. I also got to see some ALTs too, which was also great! Of course, my favorite part of cooking though is breaking bread: it was really nice to sit down and enjoy a meal with everyone, and with a surprise apple cake from our teacher for the day!
