ES QUE... QUÉ COJONES?!?! POR LA PUTA CARA?!?! ES ME CAGO EN PUTO CHANNEL 3.
I was already mad at them, I actually was telling that to a friend yesterday how Channel 3 continues to give me nothing but vibes.
And I saw it coming since the will thing but I was hoping to be wrong. And like someone said with Shasha's line in the finale of Girl Rules, she stated a reality that there's this plan expected of you, but it doesn't have to be that.
And I was already upset about the plot, or well, lack of plot of Fulfill. I don't mind Ch3's series as much as others, I do like just vibe shows but the reality is that's all they can give. The only substantial show so far was TSOU, and that was NOT an original plot of them, it was a book. I had issues with certain changes but that was me angry at this blind filial duty shown in shows. The book wasn't good with that either imo but that's a different matter.
I enjoyed My Safe Zone, but don't ask me the main plot, can't tell you, Play Park was cute but lack in lots of places, and I won't even get started in Only You, I haven't even finish the last two episodes.
Fulfill had the opportunity to be something different. We have been asking for shows that showcase a married life. We've had a couple either because they were arranged or specials or other reason but they had the opportunity to show what's after marriage and the plot could have been about just that, their daily struggles, I was complaining yesterday about how them adding Krit was just making it another of the bunch. Just two sapphics where a guy is attempting to persue one of them against their will. We have seen that countless of times.
The premise of the show, just like the others is different from what they are showing, it was SO easy to make it about the struggle of having a baby because even if they can legally get married some things need to be worked on.
But beyond that, let's say that Neung appeared, at first I thought she might realized she wasn't ready for the baby and might leave him. But even if she felt unprepared it seemed like she loved him deeply even before he was born. I knew this was coming the moment the will was mention. But I thought it could have been such a better message and more impactful if it was "Family is what we make of it". Because sure, Neung could have been the baby's bio mother, could still take care of him albeit her fears, but those could be reduced because of the support she got from Fun and Oon. Who could act as mother's for the baby as well, because they love Neung and they love her kid. And that was enough. No need for them to be romantically involved or whatever. And just like Neung was raised by Oon's mother, her baby could have been raised by all them three.
Because like I said, why do we have to follow the nuclear family setting? We, as queers, are already outcasts in many settings because of who we love, who we are and how we express or not express ourselves. So why do we have to conform to their rules, when our mere existences is breaking them? And to be honest, I think it would do us a lot of good if not only queer folks broke them. Because like I said "Family is what make of it".
Anyways, as I was writing I got calmer. Still my send off will be.
