The time had been set, but the choice had not yet been accepted, not by him anyway. The sandslash had let another friend, his best friend to be exact, to get a trainer before. However, that seemed to be a mistake considering how he didn't really care, so now he HAD to be sure that this was someone who could handle the responsibility of being a pokemon trainer.
