No, he couldn't just sit here with a sobbing Edward... and not do something. He failed someone else before, this time he was strong enough to help and be there for him. He could only imagine what was happening that caused Edward to be this upset and sobbing so loudly.
Holding his new... son in his arms he slipped a free hand into his deckbox and pulled out a card. If there was anyone or anything that could possibly help Edward, even if he himself couldn't do it... it would be his healer.
"Here. Let me help you." Atem spoke softly to Edward before flicking a Magic card in his hand. Suppose it was Edward's turn to see what Atem was capable of, his "special" abilities.
"Dian Keto... hear my call."
He kept the card away from Edward so that the light that shone from the card didn't blind him, but it softly glowed in Atem's hand. In front of the two... a gentle, elderly woman in robes appeared, giving a slight bow to the Young Master.
She was his healer, as well as anyone's healer, so long as they called upon her with a simple Magic Card. The last time she appeared was to heal her Young Master with the help of the nice Gentleman. However the Gentleman wasn't here but instead a... Young Man.
"Dian, please." Atem spoke softly, holding the sobbing Edward in his arms. "My son... he's hurt. Can you help him?"
She knelt down, hearing her Young Master's request, before looking around. There seemed to be pieces all around that looked like parts of a strange metallic contraption, nothing that she was familiar with. But the Young Man's hand... now that she could help with.
Hold his hand, my Young Master.
She spoke in a language only those with a connection to Duel Spirits would understand. Atem nodded and gently put his hand on Edward's injured hand, allowing Dian to cradle her Spirit hands around both and work her magic, humming a small lullaby-like tune as she began to heal the Young Man's hand.
