You're always so quick with these. How do you do it? It'll never cease to amaze me.
Joel: Something you can not shut up about?
I know you expect me to say LOTR/Tolkien lore, and that's true too, but the biggest thing for me is probably the human mind/social phenomena! People are so interesting and I love finding patterns in the way they think and act, as individuals and in groups. Finding explanations for the things I find inexplicable, pointing out patterns, figuring out the minds of people so fundamentally different from me they seem incomprehensible…I can't think of anything more fascinating. See? I'm already rambling!
Well, that, and animal facts. One of my favorite blogs on here is a weird biology blog for a reason.

So I could think of exactly one, in total, that I like and that is: "If you were a vegetable, you'd be a cute-cumber." But I wasn't satisfied and went Googling for more, here are some more I liked:

Olli: Last thing you lost?
Uh…Does my motivation to write count? Otherwise, good question, I don't think I've lost anything of substance lately. As a kid I used to lose soooo much stuff, including really big and sometimes expensive stuff (RIP that one really nice jacket I had in 5th grade), and now I'm pretty paranoid and quadruple-check everything.
OH! But I did remember one thing. When I was heading to the train to your city I got myself a sandwich and while I was digging through my bag one of my rings slipped off my finger and fell into the depths of my bag. I know it's still in there, but it has yet to resurface again. Bummer. I'm just glad it got swallowed by the bag instead of disappearing into the depths of the station!

Also you like a variety of book/movie genres but have a soft spot for friends to lovers
AHAHAHAHAHAHA, oh honey, did it really spook you that badly? I am sorry, I really am. I'll make it up to you later (in the next chapter)! To be fair though, I'm mostly so amused because a) I know the threat level of the Other BC members and for most of them it boils down to "shoujo manga villain with supernatural elements"; and b) I didn't actually think the story was creepy enough to warrant a horror tag, likely because of the aforementioned reason. So you being so thoroughly spooked by it is absolutely thrilling.
And soft yes on the other assumption too! My taste in media isn't bound to genres, I just like what I like and that's usually what I find interesting. The bit with friends to lovers, on the other hand…it's a bit complicated? In general I rarely vibe with canon romances no matter what they are, BUT I like a focus on the emotional bond instead of physical attraction outta nowhere(™) and that works best if "friends to lovers" is at least part of the journey. In general though I like it if the characters start out as something other than friends so you can get to know them through each other's eyes instead of basically thirdwheeling them till halfway through the story. So, X to friends to lovers, I guess!
