My current obsession is my favorite milk oolong tea (Taiwan) colored with butterfly pea flowers (Thailand) so it matches my book cover (the far future) because I am bonkers.

(If you add lemon it goes purple, but I prefer the flavor of oolong without lemon.)

Adelaide China Town "Fun Tea" Boss and mates refuse to pay wage, assault employees

Boss: what are you doing?

Girl 1: You don’t want to pay my wage, right?

Boss: So, are there any wage during the trail period?  

Girl 1: I don’t care it is “trail period”, that is not relevant to my pay. 

The shouting woman: How many days have you worked here? Thinking you are going to be paid for that?

Man: I own you not wage, so what should I pay you for?

Girl: Okay, you wait. Let me show the posts I put on BBS, lots of people on there are cursing you on it.  (BBS means the Adelaide Chinese BBS, an online form where many Chinese nationals in Adelaide find jobs) (Cursing, in the current spoken mandarin, means more like “accusing” and “criticizing” than actual cursing)

Man: Alright, good, find me the one (post) with a lot of comments.

Girl: Yeah good.

Girl 2 said to Girl 1: You don’t need to comment online so much. 

Girl 2 said to the Boss: So, she worked here for so many days for free? You are using her labor for free? 

 Girl1: that’s right, you as the boss, being absent for one whole day, and now you want to avoid paying wages?

Boss: okay lets….

Girl 2: no human being should act like this. 

Boss: okay, no problem, since everyone has evidence, we know who said you should be paid and who think you should not be paid. 

Girl1: yeah, we all know about that, in our heart.

Boss: yeah.

Girl1: Yeah, we all know about that, in our heart. And I am cursing you.

Boss: Who are you cursing? Who are you cursing? You dare to try that again?

Girl: Yeah, you are the one that I am cursing. Under my post on the BBS, everyone is cursing you.

Boss: Oh, so you are such a polite talker.

Girl: Well, that’s right, I think the problem is that I am too polite, and I am not very good at cursing. That is why you are bullying me.

Boss: Oh, fuck, you are the only one who curse in my shop.

Girl: Oh, I am the only one?

Boss: yeah, you are the only one, if I give you ten bucks for one hour, I would feel that I am losing money. (Also could be $16, but I think it sounds more like $10, and $10/hour is more common in Adelaide China town)

Girl: Ha, would I curse you in a civil way? (not sure what does that mean) 

Boss: Ha, would I curse you in a civil way? I am so lucky that I did not pick you as my “formal staff”.

Girl: How about I find the post and show you?

Boss: You are cursing me, right? Guy in black shirt (not very clear): What did I do to you to make you curse me? (Then the guy slapped in the girl’s face) 

The Boy in black shirt: Fuck you. Fuck you, who are you hitting, you fucking moron. (While trying to reach the Guy who just slapped the girl)

Girl 1 reached the Guy in the black shirt, trying to hit back with her hands, a woman in brown shirt kicked Girl 1’s leg. The guy in the black shirt kicked right at Girl 1’s stomach, brought her on the floor.

Girl 2 tried to stop him, and was pushed onto the wall by the guy in the black shirt. The Boss hold the boy’s head, pushed him onto the floor.

Girl 3, What is your problem?

Guy in the black shirt (not very clear): Here is what happens if you mess with me.
