Interesting how welsh women look the most fairy-like out of all Celtic people🧚♂️ 🧚♀️, I guess the Irish and Scots got the red hair🌹 (both are a winner in my eyes⚡️)
Ooh, I wonder if we do? It’s not especially uncommon here, certainly, but I’ve no idea how it compares.
Lots of red hair here too, mind; I can’t quite remember the precise stats offhand, but while Scotland and Ireland are tied for Most Redheads (I think about 15%?) Wales is next with about 10% (and weirdly, we have the highest number of gene-carriers. Make of that what you will.) Certainly, I have known a fuck of a lot of redheads in my life. Including my own family, and possibly my own me (people are split on whether my hair is blonde or red and the two camps Never Agree, but as my sister and father are/were fully red, I always think I look blonde by contrast.)
But then... that’s the funny thing with being from a Celtic country, I guess... I’ve also known a million natural blondes and a billion blue/green/grey eyed people. I was always super jealous of people with dark hair and eyes when I was growing up because it’s relatively uncommon to me, and I still think it’s more attractive. It was only as an adult when I mentioned to someone that my eyes are ‘boring blue’ that they were like DO YOU NOT REALISE HOW MANY PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD WOULD KILL FOR THAT, because I had reeeaally not realised how rare it is outside Wales. (Plus, you know. Racial politics.)
Anyway, thus ends my phenotypic rambling.
