One Year of Deep Ellum Marketing
Words don't accurately describe how absolutely WILD it is to think that it's been a whole year since the idea of Deep Ellum Ala Carte Marketing became a reality.
Since May 27th, 2013 we have done the following to promote small business growth via online presence:
- Created Bridge Bistro 's Twitter page from Scratch, made aesthetic changes to their website, created their Google Analytics account, managed their Facebook account, submitted their monthly events to Dallas area lifestyle magazines for publishing and added them to the Bridge website.
-Worked with Mystic Kathryn & Associates - Dallas Area Psychics on adding their business information to location-based online platforms (including Yelp, Manta, Yellowpages.com, Bing Local, Yahoo Local and Google Local) and created and designed their Google + Page.
-Developed The Functions Events Group Twitter page, managed their Facebook Page, designed highly-successful Twitter-based giveaways for events they hosted, set up their Google Analytics account for SEO monitoring and created both Instagram and Pinterest accounts for this Dallas based events company.
In late November 2013, Daniel Dallas Miller also took on a full-time position at TimberBlind Metro Shade, the largest manufacturer of window coverings in North America. He has now gained extremely valuable industry knowledge including email marketing, affiliate marketing, Google Analytics, Search Engine Optimization, content creation and the utilization of WordPress for content-based websites.
But the most important lessons we've learned this year are not related to online marketing or content creation, but lessons on life.
We've learned how to value our industry knowledge and realize our own worth, how to professionally negotiate with clients in order to ensure that both parties are satisfied, and the negative effects on both clients and businesses when obligations are not fulfilled.
All in all, it's been an AWESOME year. I wouldn't trade even one of this past year's experiences for the world.
