Gregory took note of the doctor’s nervousness when speaking about the mages, and he couldn’t help but smile. It seemed he wasn’t the only one who was wary.
“Lord what? Seems I’m a bit behind on my history.. Still I’m glad the feeling is mutual. I’m not to fond of magic users. I barely tolerate witches..”
He was still uncertain, but he was glad to know now that they existed in the city. At least he could be more prepared if he ran into one. The last thing he wanted was to get captured, again. Or worse.
“A wager? How bold~ Well, do tell me if I am actually an angel.”
He couldn’t help but chuckle at the doctor’s joke, a grin spreading across his lips, but for an entirely different reason. A grin, that the doctor would see through the pendant. Stretched far to wide, and full of to many, inhumanly sharp teeth. Barty would see, that he was far from an angel. Instead what stood there was nothing but a shadowy beast, with silver eyes that gleamed at the doctor, as six separate tendril like limbs flowed around him.
“Oh Mr. Wayman. What do you see?~”
