Outer Wilds - How I Became Entangled to One of the Best Games Ever

Outer Wilds is a 2019 video game developed by Mobius Digital and published by Annapurna Interactive. It is a puzzle space exploration game that makes use of knowledge and experience as your key to progressing through the game.

I personally enjoy and love Outer Wilds for its amazing concept and world building. For a space exploration game, there is truly no other game as similar as Outer Wilds. Although the game may seem or look repetitive, all I can say is throughout that repetitiveness, comes a new opening of adventure, wisdom, and a story slowly unfolding ahead of you as you take one step with each run you make. It’s a progress that doesn’t make use of advancements, leveling up, or anything cliche from other progressive puzzle games, but instead seeks and asks you what you have learned and how you can use that knowledge in unlocking the next world.

Actually, I can’t even state that there’s a “next step” in Outer Wilds, given how it’s truly an open world game, where there are no restrictions or guidelines that you’re forced to follow throughout your playthrough - Outer Wilds uses curiosity and the freedom of the player to interact with its playground.

Accompanied with outstanding existentialism soundtracks, and interactable NPCs that you’d get to greet throughout the solar system, you the player becomes attached with its simple but wholesome storyline with the game.

I simply cannot say anything else about Outer Wild’s contents and nature of the game. As someone who has played Outer Wilds without any idea what the game has in store for me, it’s that sense that makes the game a wonderful, memorable, and “oh-I-wish-to-play-this-game-again-for-the-first-time” experience. For you to play Outer Wilds you must be attentive and thoughtful of your decisions, constantly asking what is the next thing you should do as the only hint you’ll ever have is yourself and the time you get to play the game.

Whatever happens next when you play Outer Wilds, I guarantee that it is something to not be feared. Embrace the unknown and let curiosity be your guide. Safe travels astronaut!

Sooooooo..... I messed with the format but we shall see how it ends up looking. Thank you, @tellyouamystery, for adding me to this. I had loads of fun thinking and deciding on my picks. I gotta say that this did give me some ideas... LOL

coffee shop or flower shop (I love the idea of sitting in a nice cozy chair sipping on some tea, most definitely reading a book or writing, and then meeting someone. Totally sounds cute and dreamy.)

alternate universe or fix-it (I like both ideas, but you can get away with more in an alternate universe. Also, I think you can do a fix-it in an alternate universe.)

enemies to lovers or childhood friends (This one is hard because they can equally be such great slow burns...Hear me out...childhood friends to enemies to lovers...)

angst or fluff (I love both so much...hmmm....I think I shall choose fluff. Too much angst may in fact kill me...LOL)

love at first sight or pining (I am on the fence when it comes to love at first sight. I believe in attraction at first sight but not necessarily love. However, I have been wondering how does it work if you correspond with someone via letters/email/online and you get to know them and then finally meet face-to-face. Would that be considered love at first sight? Sorry for the rant. These are the kind of thoughts that roam in my head. LOL! Anyway, I am choosing pining.)

modern au or historical au (Since I know very little about and haven't done much research about the historical era I shall choose modern au.)

soulmate or unrequited (Unrequited soulmate, anybody. That sounds like a tragically good story. I choose soulmate because all those soulmate prompts are so cute =) )

fake dating or secret dating (Imagine all the chaos that would ensue in either of these.)

breakup and makeup or proposals and weddings (I am a sucker for breakups to makeups. Especially when both people have grown up and fit better together. Or maybe a breakup to save significant other? idk this is all I could come up with at the moment.)

get together or established relationship (I love both! How am I supposed to choose? Just imagine all the inside jokes that the established relationship has or the already set routine or the bliss of doing mundane things together. Or! already feeling comfortable around one another and dropping the "I'm trying to impress you" façade. With the get together the angst could be amped up, the miscommunication, the pinning, the angst...OH the ANGST! Both containing some glorious FLUFF!!)

oblivious pining or domestic fluff (DOMESTIC FLUFF. I know what I said in the previous note, but... domestic fluff...)

hurt/comfort or crack (since I don't know what the meaning was behind crack, I am going to go with hurt/comfort)

meet the parents or meet cute (Is this a trick question? MEET CUTE!)

time travel or parallel universe (Parallel universe. This can give an insane amount of variations to the established world.)
