Yesterday We Lost Another Iconic Musician Who Impacted Motown And Rhythm And Blues Music Dramatically. Melvin Ragin, Known To The World As Wah Wah Watson, Played On Big Hits Because Of His Unique Style And Sound. The Guitarist Was One Of The Funk Brothers, Motown's House Band, That Composed And Recorded Hits For All Of Motown's Catalog. This Led Him To Play On The Temptations' "Papa Was A Rolling Stone, " And Marvin Gaye's "I Want You " And "Let's Get It On." From There He Played On Rose Royce's Breakout Album "Car Wash," Quincy Jones's Highly Successful Record "Body Heat," Gloria Gaynor's Disco Anthem "I Will Survive," And The King Of Pop Michael Jackson's Stellar "Off The Wall" Album. He Was Grooving As A Guitarist And Adding Gems To Every Piece Of Music He Played On, Quite Notably On Maxwell's Brilliant Debut Album "Urban Hang Suite." Wah Wah Watson Played With The Greatest Of Artists And Left Us His Incredible Guitar Work As A Legacy Of What Good Guitar Sounds Like And An Inspiration For Us To Be Better On The Instrument. Rest In Peace, Wah Wah. You Will Be Greatly Missed. #RIP #WahWahWatson #FunkBrother #Motown #Guitarist #Innovator #PapaWasARollingStone #IWillSurvive #OffTheWall #UrbanHangSuite #Legend https://www.instagram.com/p/BpXVyJ9FnRv/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1agjrze9dmr7n
