WE DID IT!

We were NOT joking about a sober January - we ruddy did it - and are planning a less of a pissed up Febuary to follow. To take the edge off, we ordered some alcohol free beers from Dry Drinker. Below is what we got and what we thought of it:

Rothaus Wheat Beer - a wheaty treaty, refreshing & tangy. Alcohol-free wheat beers don’t often impress, but this is a goodun with a full wheat flavour.

Hammerton Crunch Peanut Butter Stout - wowza bag, this took us by suprise! Creamy, peanutty and biscuity - it had a prescence - total banger! This was one of our faves.  I would try an alcoholic version immediately.

Funky Fluid Free Gelato Pastry Sour - ooh my my my, this was another one that blew our hair back. Sweet, sour and tropical...extremely refreshing, I can imagine this being a perf summer bev. if youve ever had a sam smiths’ fruit beer, it’s kinda like a tropical version of one o them.

Insel-Brauerei’s Snorkeler's Sea Salt IPA - not as salty as us sea dogs would have liked, but a very competant IPA none the less - lil bit bitter, lil bit fruity. It also has paper wrapped around the bottle which makes me feel posh. Kinda tastes like you’re at the beach? but in a good way.

Harviestoun Brewery Wheesht Dark Ale - a real smoothie, with a cheeky bitterness. We were big fans of the little mouse emphatically shushing us on the bottle. 

Hitachino Nest Yuzu Ginger Ale - a zesty little number! i’m very familiar with the little owl’s alcoholic offerings, his saison du japon is light, fruity, and refreshing, with its own hints of yuzu. This alcohol free ginger ale isn’t quite as impressive as the real deal, but this is still a top class dry option.
