Hi there, good to see things are open for mer May ^_^

Please may I ask how Mer Swerve would act around a human he had a crush on? Also, would he act differently if the pod was around?

Swerve has always been fascinated by humans. He loves collecting things they leave behind on the beach even if most of it ends up being empty cans and chip bags. He just thinks everything about them is soooooo interesting down to their round little ears and their king graceful legs and their tiny wiggly little toes.

He’s not in love with you from the get-go; he’s just excited to get the chance to talk to a real live human! And you’re so patient with him and answer all his questions with a smile and you don’t even bat an eye when he asks if he can touch your hair or twine his webbed fingers with yours just to see what it’s like. It doesn’t hurt that you are also the most beautiful person he’s ever talked to (you’re the only one he’s ever talked to but his point still stands). It doesn’t take very long for the crush to develop.

Once that happens he’s suddenly a lot less bold with you; all shy and blushing and stuttering over his words too much to ask you all the questions he wants to. But now he wants to know less about humans and more about you. What do you do for fun? What’s your favorite food? What kind of people are you attracted to? Are you single? He wants to know so bad but the words are stuck in his throat.

If you notice how weird he’s acting around you, you never say. And you definitely notice. The rest of the Lost Light pod is always teasing him about his crush right in front of you. He wants to bury his head in the sand and just lie there until the gulls come for him but, bless your heart, you never acknowledge it. You act just as kind and sweet and patient with him as you always are.

There’s a part of him that almost wishes you would acknowledge it, just so he could know where he stands in your eyes. Even if you’re disgusted by his feelings, at least then he could try to move on. But you never do and Swerve is too cowardly to ever ask you outright.

It’s okay though. It’s not the ideal, but as long as he gets to spend time with you, he’s content. Not happy, but something close to it.

Bookmark Discussion

Do you use a bookmark when reading? Because, I don't, and apparently that is weird!

So, context. My friends @funkysora and @mechafeline and I do a lot of reading and they seem to think I'm some sort of monster because I don’t use a bookmark to keep track of where I have read. DONT PANIC! I don’t bend or dog-ear the pages or anything like that; those people are the monsters here! (only joking no matter how you keep track of your progress, as long as you are reading good for you!) I mean, honestly, my method is not that weird.

I just remember the page number. Because that is how my dad did it all throughout my childhood, so it was just normal that I copied him. To clarify, my dad is not dead, even though that last sentence made it seem like it, he just sticks to audiobooks now rather than physical copies. Anyway! I need some validation here that I am not a monster for just remembering where I last read. Am I? some people think its because I have a pretty good memory for useless nonsense, but no, its just how I have always done it, and also i would lose the bookmark so many times How do you keep track of your reading? The first time Prowl’s and your paths connect was when you were getting donuts and heard this big police officer ranting at a motorcycle that had parked right next to his police cruiser. You watch in mild amusement how he seems to have a one-sided conversation with the bike until you hear the motorcycle talk back to him.

“It must be speakers.” You think, but then the motorcycle transforms into a huge robot and you drop your donuts in shock. The robot and officer notice you and while the police curses his luck, the robot kneels in front of you and asks if you’re okay as he offers his finger to you. You carefully reach to him and you both feel a slight electric shock between two of you. You flush like cherry and he looks baffled as well. It was love at the first spark.

Now, when a Pisces woman falls in love she devotes her full attention to the loved one she has. As soon as her feelings get returned, she turns into mush and adopts this child-like in love attitude. This love is the purest of them all.

He inspires you in so many ways. Writing or drawing? You have a notebook filled with drawings of him with poems and declarations of love at the corner of each drawing. It’s art, you think, when you create a verse based purely on the moment you drew of him.

Prowl doesn’t play videogames so you do that mostly with Sari and Bumblebee, but Prowl enjoys watching you have fun. His taste in music is pretty calm and quiet, but he does listen if you have a different taste than him. To him, the calmest music is the silence.

The two of you love your shared rides. You just need to sit still and hold firmly onto Prowl’s handlers and he takes you to amazing rides. His favorite place in nature is by far the meadow you two like to go to during sunny days and smell the flowers and see the animals.

You might spend hours just admiring him while he meditates so when he asks you if you want to join him you’re happy to do so. You may not find the inner peace as easily as him, but you do find this satisfaction when you spend time with him.

Prowl tries to supports your anarchist nature, but he can’t help but feel like it sounds a lot like a connection to Decepticon causes. They don’t follow Cybertronian’s rules or follow their way, building their own ways that clash against Autobots. But when he learns how some leaders you people have are as bad or even worse than Decepticons, he supports you and wished that the leaders and rules would be made with people’s best in mind.

What would Swerve be like if he was about to ask a the human reader out but then another bot does and gets shot down because the reader secretly has feelings for Swerve? (Love your blog ^_^)

It kind of depends on exactly how you handle it.

Scenario one: Swerve sees you reject this mech and begins to think that you must not be interested in non-humans so he loses his nerve. After the other ‘bot has walked off, throughly rejected, you turn to Swerve and ask him what he wanted to ask you. He chickens out and ends up asking you for sad movie recommendations instead before sinking off to his hab suite.

Scenario two: When you reject the other ‘bot, you do so by telling them that you’re interested in someone else. You turn to Swerve, making eye contact briefly, before turning back to the other mech. It only lasts a second but it’s not subtle. Swerve’s spark is pulsing in his chest. His frame is overheating. He can’t move. Swerve.exe has stopped working.
