I remember my mom buying me an issue of Funny Komics every week. This was my first comic book collection and I greatly enjoyed and followed the storylines of this anthology. Before getting interested in the X-Men and Batman I was into the adventures of Force 1 Animax, Combatron, Darmo Adarna, and Planet Opdi Eyps Each title were given a 2 to 4 pages spot in every issue so the writers and artists had to cram as much action and dialogue as possible per book. To a kid it was torture to wait for a week for a new issue to arrive so you can continue to read the continuation of a particular story arc. It was exhilirating to find the latest issue in the newstands. If you missed an issue pray to the gods that a classmate would lend (or rent) you a copy For a kids' book there sure were a lot of main character deaths in these pages - Askal gets killed by Diaconda before being rebuilt as Dobbernaut, Axel being heavily damaged by Megadeath before getting sucked into a tornado, Metalicca sacrificing herself so that the team would just focus their attacks to Megadeath instead of helping her, the whole Force 1 Animax team dying from an exploding plane. Pretty much like Game of Thrones... but only in a kiddie book I remember having a huge pile of these comic books next to my bed so I can reread them anytime. Sadly, this coverless issues is the only one remaining from my collection #combatron #funnykomiks @berlinsteiner #berlinmanalaysay https://www.instagram.com/p/BwEAG67ntNu/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1x5vwnbfy7c2z
