Modern Toilet
Ximen, Taiwan
Now, we all know every traveler has their fair share of eating food and we found it right there in the toilet. I know, I know, unlikely that this will be the very go to restaurant for any starving tourist, but alas, we found ourselves taking a dump (and yes, their seats are literally toilets) whilst scanning through page after page of scrumptious, mouthwatering and affordable food.
Trust me, their food is AMAZING! 👍🏼
If you do not share the same disgusting appetite as I do or at least a strong stomack to take it all in, don’t worry you’re pretty little self, you can always head down and trail your way to their street foods. And honestly, the food trail is always fantastic. Happy chomping!
Sky Lantern
Pingxi,Taiwan
The most breathtaking spectacle I have seen. You write you’re wisshes and release.
Janica and I had our fair share of writing down each wish each for a specific colour. Yes, the colours signify a certain category like if its yellow (career), red (health) and so on.
So, better start those wheels turning so you can jot down wishes but make sure to leave a space for your friends and family.
Let it go, let it goooo!!! ❤️
And...release! 😁
Hello Golden Waterfalls
Jinguashi
The gold flowy water resulted in the combination of regular rainfall in the mining area and the abundance of heavy metal elements deposited in the riverbed.
It may not be the real gold but it is so majestic to look at.
Next stop, let’s go creepy looking but historical destination...
The building used to be a copper and gold refinery. Apparently the whole thing changed the color of the ocean so they called it YING YANG SEA. (Photo above)
And the group tour begins...
Yehliu GeoPark
A little backstory, these things shaped behind me are a landscape of honeycomb and mushroom rocks eroded by the sea. They come in different names like Queens head and dragons head.
If you are a walker and have the stamina getting across one formation to the next, this is for you to cone see.
Grafitti Lane (Ximen)
Rainbow Village (Taichung)
Lavender Cottage
Taichung, Taiwan
We just had our lunch here but the whole place definitely screams beautiful, cold and unpolluted air. Its in the mountainside area so you feel that peaceful vibe. Oh, plus food was exquisite!
