greatest poet of our time

this may be a bit (as the kids may call it) ‘based’, however, I truly believe Lorraine Bowen is a poet far superior than ‘shakespeare’. She explores ideas ‘shakespeare’ could never have conceived his entire pathetic life. I bet ‘shakespeare’ didn’t even know what a fish was let alone that it’d be fun to be one.

a song to make you think

i hadn’t previously considered the benefits of becoming a fish prior to this song but this song really makes you think. “Oh happy I will be, just swimming in the sea.” This lyric reflects the monotonous life of a fish, they swim all day. Bowen referring to such a lifestyle as ‘happy’ shows how the lack of thought required to to be a fish, she’d rather not have to deal with the struggles of life and would much rather just do one thing to the rest of the life in order to induce such positive emotions. This really made me think. Would I rather just swim in the sea all day? Would I escape the struggles and thought of daily life just to be a fish? It really makes you think, Bowen’s lyrics have been masterfully crafted so that you ponder such a scenario for a great length of time. I would recommend searching more of her works if you enjoy being deep in thought.
