In my farthest recollections

I can feel a faint red

Every lens that i have seen past

Through it, I must’ve secretly bled.

Have I been the angry child?

Honestly I can’t answer or agree

I can’t grasp where its roots spread from

I can’t catch it in any of my memories.

The anger must’ve seeped through me

One night as I was asleep

Because in my waking moments

A tumultuous blur of grief is all I see

But the grief must’ve been a liar

Claiming to be something known

because I’ve been familiar with sorrow

And maybe my hurt is just my anger’s clone.
