Remus & Bellatrix || Furious Storm
DATE: August 15, 1978 LOCATION: Remus&Sirius’s cottage in the woods
@thebestblacktrix
Callous winds whistled through dense trees and rattled ancient, glass windows. Remus worried they’d bust, shattering sharp shards over wood floors, and performed a quick spell to reinforce uneven glass. The rain beat down against the old roof. Sometimes, Remus lay awake, staring at the ceiling convinced that it might cave in. They were unable to afford a nice house; but it was secluded and it was everything they (and Moony) could have asked for and it was theirs. Magical reinforcement held it together, but the Muggle dwelling was hardly built for weather extremes.
Through water trails streaking against the old, worn glass, Remus swore he witnessed a shift in the trees, an entity amongst their aching sway. With Sirius out for the night, he knew his eyes deceived him. Still, he stared intently at the spot and was nearly stunned into shock as Sirius bounded through the yard, his long locks dripping with rain water.
Remus’s heart swelled. He felt it. He knew it. There was nothing duplicitous, no other, higher motive than to come together as lovers. Nothing but adoration glowed in green eyes as he opened the door, grinning his trademark lopsided smirk, made imperfect by deep scars that had long since healed.
“Merlin, I thought you wouldn’t be home ‘til late,” Remus called over the howling wind and thunderous slapping of rain against mud and concrete. It was with a lover’s gaze that he ushered Sirius inside; a look that typically originated in the honeymoon stage of any relationship. Shit, did he have it bad. “Why’d you come home early?”
♠ Your muse adjusting my muses jewelry/neck tie/etc. (Furious Storm)
Ja’ren paced back and forth in the tiny room they had reserved for the wedding preparations. He was nervous, excited, and the sheer amount of energy meant he could not keep still no matter how hard he tried. Fury kept watching the young man, when it dawned on him - the man’s tie was crooked.
Fury bolted upright, waving Ja’ren down and furiously scribbling into his notepad which he then showed to Ja’. “YOUR TIE IS CROOKED.”
Ja’ raised a brow and looked down, squinting to be able to see the tie around his neck. “..No it’s not.”
“YES IT IS.”
“Fury it’s just a tie.”
“COME HERE AND LET ME FIX IT.”
“But-”
“YOU’RE ABOUT TO GET MARRIED, IT NEEDS TO BE PERFECT, NOW LET ME FIX. IT.”
“Alright! Ok.”
11. What are their intellectual shortcomings?
After spending all of his life devoted to physical combat, Tiergan has problems understanding aether, arcanum, and magic. He attempted to learn conjury once under a friend’s patient tutelage and only managed to get a pebble to rattle a little before he gave up. Lurial is intelligent and a fast learner. She is a Jack-of-all-Trades, combining her various skills in a way that makes her rather formidable. Unfortunately, this also means she will never achieve full mastery over any one thing - and the deeper intricacies of something like arcanum, alchemy, or any of her skills are forever out of reach for her. At least, until she finally devotes herself fully to one thing..Leilani is rather young and there are many things about the world she has yet to understand and fully grasp. Her mind is like a little sponge, but she typically only has a mind for stories, history, and music. She dislikes anything too technical or complicated and doesn’t have much of a taste for science.Furious Storm is a fairly straightforward person who likes the taking the most clean, direct way of solving problems. As such, he has slight difficulty juggling a complicated, highly abstract, technical solutions to problems unless they involve some sort of spiritualism or magic which is a subject he’s more familiar and comfortable with even if he himself is not a mage. To him, Magitek is suspicious sorcery and the work of the ironworks/Mechanists are incredibly useful, but also incredibly confusing when it comes to what’s going on under the hood of various contraptions.
18. Are they ever a pushover about something? If so, how? 20. What is a self-inflicted misery of theirs?
18) Tiergan is INSANELY stubborn and bullheaded - but when it comes to cooking, he will gladly let someone herd him out of the kitchen and/or teach him how things are actually supposed to be done so he doesn’t set things on fire. Lurial prefers not to give off any appearance of weakness and would just cover it up or extract herself from the situation.Leilani is a pushover when it comes to actual physical combat. She’s rarely, if ever, had to hurt anyone - and fighting makes her extremely fretful unless someone she really cares about is in serious danger. Then she’ll nervously suck it up and try to fire off as many poorly shot arrows as she can when she has a clear opportunity not to accidentally shoot allies.Fury is not so much a pushover as he is extremely flexible and will bend to the wants and needs of others. The only exception is if someone obviously wants him to do something that would bring harm to others. Then he’s like a veritable brick wall that will very sternly glare at you like a disappointed parent.20) Tiergan’s self-inflicted misery is his inability to let go of the past. Where as his lover Zaius lives his life to the fullest, free from the burdens of his history - TIergan has moments where he might as well still be living within his. Various things can trigger painful memories and at times, his actions are driven not by by either revenge or an overwhelming need to ensure that what happened to him before will never happen - even if it comes at a cost.Lurial’s self-inflicted misery is solitude. Due to the nature of her work and lifestyle, she finds it preferable to work alone and keep others at a distance. The emotional weight strong bonds can make it harder to view things on a larger, less personal scale. it’s difficult to think only of the needs of a group as a whole, if you’re deeply bound to a single individual you favor most. Though she would never admit it - deep down, Lurial is lonely and sometimes considers whether or not her self-imposed solitude is worth the cost.Leilani’s self-inflicted misery is her fixation upon becoming ‘the best in the family’ at something simply because all of her siblings are. The pressure to be the highly skilled expert at something sometimes weighs more heavily upon her than she’d like to admit, but she bounces back pretty easily and doesn’t stay down for too long.Furious Storm’s self-inflicted misery is his decision that he is unfit to protect anyone any longer due to his failure to prevent his beloved’s death. The roegadyn as powerful as a behemoth and as large as a bear. Though his right leg is not what it used to be, he could easily continue working as either an adventurer or a protector of the people. However, his grief prevents him from seeing him for what he truly is and he instead sticks solely to being the jolly middle-aged roegadyn that tends the gardens, cares for chocobos, brings toys to children, and helps the lala-retainers around the Coral Sea HQ do their errands.
